A little about the Festival of The Trees:
Massachusetts Horticultural Society’s Festival of Trees is not only an important fundraiser, but it is also one of the most festive occasions at The Gardens at Elm Bank.
For those not familiar with the Festival of Trees, from November 29 – December 15 we display over 60 beautifully decorated trees, which are raffled off on December 15. The Festival of Trees, displayed in the Hunnewell Building, offers beautifully decorated trees that are donated and decorated by local businesses, garden clubs, and individuals. Visitors can purchase raffle tickets in hopes of taking home their favorite tree at the end of the festival. It’s fun, and for many, it has become a family tradition.
While the beautifully decorated trees are the centerpiece of the event, the Festival of Trees also includes garden lights, visits from Santa, horse-drawn wagon rides, the Snow Village, model railroad display, and a fire pit with s’ mores.
Snow Village at Elm Bank is a wonderful addition to the holiday spirit of the Festival of Trees. Mass Hort is delighted to share this enchanting display of model trains winding through tiny villages and vignettes, including Christmas in the City (Boston of course!), Fenway Park, and hundreds of decorated houses and lights. This amazing scenery in miniature is sure to get kids of all ages excited about the holiday season. See our website, for details.
The Festival of Trees is a wonderful celebration of the holidays.
